Meet the Caravel Team
Don Dykstra
Don Dykstra is actively involved on an as needed basis in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities for Caravel. Don works on a full-time basis as Chairman of Bloomfield Homes LP and President of Bloomfield Properties, Inc. and is actively involved with a wide variety of real estate activities. Don was a Co-founder of Bloomfield Homes in 2004 and has overseen its growth to a Top 50 Builder in the US with net income in excess of $100MM per year. Don’s prior experience includes Division President for the DFW operations of Pulte Homes. His sixteen years with Pulte Homes also included being Controller for the startup of the Southern California Division, Director of Land Development, Vice President of Finance for the Texas Region. Prior to joining Pulte, Don was a CPA with Ernst and Young for six years specializing in the real estate industry.
Debbie Dykstra
Debbie Dykstra is involved in Caravel on an as needed basis, primarily in areas of strategic direction, investment evaluation, and financial reporting / accounting. Debbie has an MBA in Finance from University of North Texas and was previously a licensed CPA. Debbie was a Co-founder of Bloomfield Homes and served as CFO from 2004 – 2015. Prior to working at Bloomfield, Debbie worked in various financial and operations roles with Hewlett Packard, 20th Century Fox and KPMG.
Jocelyn Ansley
Jocelyn Ansley is involved in all day-to-day activities of Caravel, including sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, portfolio management of existing opportunities, and maintaining relationships with current and prospective sponsors. Prior to joining Caravel, Jocelyn spent over 15 years in the banking industry, focused exclusively on the single-family real estate industry. During this time, she helped launch the Specialized Residential Real Estate division at Texas Capital Bank that grew to ~$3.5B in loans, which generated strong returns and always maintained sound credit quality for the bank. Jocelyn obtained a BA from The University of Texas at Austin and MBA from Rice University.
